Our Story
Brushstroke Mayhem is our very first board game. Making it wasn’t easy – it came with plenty of challenges, mistakes, and late-night fixes. But we weren’t alone. We had the support of The Prototype, the biggest board game guild in Lithuania, and together we turned a small idea into something real.
This is also something bigger than just a game: Brushstroke Mayhem is the first crowdfunded board game in Lithuania’s history. That matters to us. It shows that even in a small country with a young board game scene, creativity can grow and reach players worldwide.
We are artists, and we wanted to dedicate this game to one of the most debated, misunderstood, and fascinating topics in art history: abstract art. Some people love it, some people hate it – but it always makes them feel something. That’s the same spirit we wanted to capture in this game.
What the Game Is About
Brushstroke Mayhem is all about creating abstract paintings by combining different brushstrokes.
On your turn, you can:
- Play cards into the shared canvas and either draw a new card and gain inspiration, or use unique color effects.
- Play brushstrokes into your personal canvas to work toward completing a painting.
- Spend inspiration tokens to buy new brushstrokes or paintings.
Once you’ve placed the right set of three brushstrokes – whether from your own canvas or the shared one – you complete a painting. The first player to finish three paintings wins.
The base game is simple and quick to learn. Later, you can add advanced rules where each color has its own unique effect, giving the game more depth and replayability.
